Staff Information

• We have experienced qualified staff and members of staff working towards qualifications.
• All staff have an Enhanced Criminal Records Bureau certificate.
• The Nursery Manager and Administrator conduct interviews for the positions
• All staff have an induction period and a 3 month probation period
• Staff are continually updating their skills and knowledge through training
• Nursery Manager oversees the day-to-day running and is able to cover staff when needed
• Each member of staff has a yearly appraisal
• Nursery staff have regular meetings to cover children, topics, any issues and ideas
• We are open to any new suggestions. There are two ‘wellies’ located in the kitchen foyer area for parents and children’s suggestions.


Staff: The Statutory Framework for the Early Years Foundation Stage require the person in charge of a nursery and the deputy to have an appropriate Level 3 qualification or qualified teacher status that specialise in the early years. In addition, at least half of the remaining staff must hold appropriate Level 2 qualifications. It is our policy to exceed statutory requirements, encouraging staff to develop their qualifications and to attend courses in areas such as special needs, equal opportunities and behaviour management. All staff are expected to obtain Paediatric First Aid, Food Hygiene, Health & Safety Awareness and Safeguarding Children certificates
